Elder Mark A. Sault (Gikinoo’amaagewinini)

Mississaugas of the New Credit First Nation

Mark Sault (Migizi Gikinoo’amaagewinini) has been gathering and sharing knowledge of plants and trees for much of his life. Born and raised in the Mississaugas of the New Credit First Nation territory, he learned to harvest plants and make herbal teas for soothing certain health ailments.

From 1990 to 2014, Sault worked with the Seven Generations Education Institute absorbing teachings from the many respected elders of Northwestern Ontario. He recently retired and returned to his home territory at New Credit.  He looks forward to sharing some tea and wisdom about our common ground.
